@davidlynn77 It's Witkins. It's in Bluebook format. That's what lawyers use.

@simonnewtboy here is exerpt- KING( K): They charged U w/ lewd conduct, right? That was dropped. ATTORNEY (A): They did that, yes. K: Well if charges were dropped, U can certainly talk about charges that were dropped. A: We can't talk about the charges of the case according to 2different gag orders &2different courts- They dropped those charges b/c they couldn't prove the charges. K: They invented these charges? They were of thin air charges? A: They were charges that they couldn't make stick.

@simonnewtboy Thx for the info. I went to look up the citation and I can't find it anywhere? Almost like it doesn't really exist. Sure it must. Can you tell me where I can access the information? Also, below I have an excerpt from a CNN transcript with Larry King, Paula and her lawyer- you will note they are referring to something BESIDES being drunk. I will have to post this separately due to length. They can't give details b/c of gag order but it was dropped b/c child wouldn't testify.

@davidlynn77 I hope you can enjoy her now!

@davidlynn77 The following is classified as a sexual crime in California. "Any person in presence of any child indulging in 'any degrading, lewd, immoral or vicious habits or practices,' or habitually drunk in the presence of a child in his or her custody or control." 2 Witkin, Cal. Crim. Law 3d (2000) Sex Crimes, § 167, p. 461. I'm afraid you were wrong. It's stupid, but being habitually drunk in front of your children is a sex crime.

@simonnewtboy- Sorry mate but if it was just driving drunk then "lewd" never would have been added to the orig charge. She sought a plea deal which is where that charge came from. Drunk driving has nothing to do with lewd. Check the state statutes about what lewd means. Yes, the term does vary state to state but in no state does it mean "just driving drunk". Nope!!!! Depending on the state it can mean showing a child porn, exposing yourself etc but sexual content is involved. Nice try.
-
@davidlynn77 No, it was because she was driving her kids while drunk. Not excusable, of course, but "lewd acts" doesn't necessarily mean anything sexual.
THANK YOUUUUU! I have been trying forever to find this special!!
