The compilation movie which tells the story and gives an insight to the successful record breaking National 3 Peaks Challenge attempt by Alex Staniforth, 16, for those who are planning to do it themselves or have followed Alex's progress from the start. With added humour, plenty of videos and pictures and great music choices. Watch it all the way til' the end and turn your speakers up. Apologies for any clips where you cannot hear me talking due to the wind! I have a huge list of thankyou's but I missed out a few people who have been a great help. Many thanks to John Hammond of kelsall.org.uk, for promoting my event, sponsoring me and being very encouraging and helpful. I have now raised nearly £1700 for my charities REACT and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I'm now the youngest person to do the challenge solo, in a time of 21 hours and 57 minutes (ran the last mile to get in under 22 hours)! It couldn't have gone better but was very difficult. Follow the whole story at www.alex3peakschallenge.blogspot.com and donate to my charities at www.virginmoneygiving.com/alexstaniforth3peaks- Many Thanks! Thinking of doing the 3 Peaks? Get out there and do it. It's a great experience, tough, but extremely rewarding at the end. Live the Dream. I was a bit unlucky with the weather but I still managed, on my own, with my own organisation and planning- so you can too :P Thanks for watching! I do not own any of this awesome music, no copyright infringement intended! Made in Windows Movie Maker. Want advice on the 3 Peaks? Ask someone who's done it successfully! Happy to help! carp4u@hotmail.co.uk

  • @jacquessteventon Cheers mate, well done to you too! It's great fun, I agree, mine hurt for a day or so but what hurt most was just that my body was completely drained afterwards as it had been so full of adrenalin for 24 hours, and afterwards I felt really really sick and tired. Hope you recover soon enough. I didn't get any injuries during the event surprisingly, apart from a small cut on my hand and a lot of swearing after spilling hot chocolate on my lap on the way to Wasdale Head!

  • Nice one, I am 17 and did this just a couple of days after my 17th birthday :) Bloody good fun. The legs are hurting now but thats only because I have ripped my muscle in my leg from doing it haha ohhh if you didn't know overall its 400 tones on your knees :)

  • @SuperSinghDarren Hey sorry! This will be too late so I hope everything goes well- let me know how you get on! I didn't use a map once, but I brought one and a compass. I had a GPS as a backup but didn't need. I had bad vis on the Ben but paths clear and easy to follow. Scafell is hard- has few clear paths- I used a guidebook and went from Brackenclose up Brown Tongue path. Snowdon has very clear motorways so you can easily follow the paths (Miners or Pyg are best). Hope this helps. Good luck!

  • hey well done! but can this be done without a map? im doing this in 2 days and spent all my time on preparing on fitness and forgot about route planning and navigating myself when on the actual mountains. im going with a group of people who i think have experience on these mountains but do i really need a map or can i stick to paths?
