  • This bus actually sounds real strong!!! Especially for a repowered 1993 Orion! Excellent clip!

  • yeah i love the way these 100/200s sound. Do they still have any left in the bronx or have most of them moved to queens ? Do they still have those 6000s down in Staten Island ?

  • There's very few 100/200s around the Bronx and Queens, and the 6000s are in the Bronx, Queens, and Staten isalnd.....We gotta chill!!!

  • very good. one more friggin month.

  • this bus must have around 416,000 miles on it's odometer..

what kind of voice recorder do you have?

  • I have one of those Sony Minidisc Recorder and that T-shaped microphone. Sony discontinued the production of minidisc recorder. However, you can find them on ebay.

  • it's always nice to hear DDS50 or DDS50EGR on the Orion V.

  • I really don't like these repowered on a early 90s model. I rather have 6V92TA.

  • This was my favorite Orion V batch ordered by NYCTA. But it's pretty rare for any 1993 model buses has S50 engine.

  • didn't those use to have 6v92ta engines and HT 747 transmissions?

  • @Kote12TK The original engine in this bus was the 6V92TA engine....Back in like 2000 or something it was changed (repowered) to a DD50 EGR engine!

  • @rts9100 Repowered?

  • these are the engines that suffolk transits 9900 buses have i think

  • Well, the only way I can hear that nice Detroit engine of Orions on the Bee-Line is by riding those 32 footer buses, and they're not that easy to come by on the Bee-Line, since the lower use Routes such as 9, 16, 66, and 78 use them.

  • Sounds like Novabus Classics 9600s in CT.
