@Mongoosemcqueen He gets recognition cause he writes great songs not cause he throws a bunch of impressive licks here and there unrelated to one another.I havent seen any..boring player to inspire and motivate millions of people to pick up the guitar and play.

@NENOKAM Shred existed before there was a word for it

Hey where's that Bass sound at? Damn Board Mixes...lol Man this dude just has "squwank" for days.. and its true as someone else mentioned Joe Satriani trudges along.. no diss to Joe but I believe he's living proof that mediocrity is more acceptable than Genius.. and people will always aspire to that which entertains as opposed to enlightens... too bad for the world that its scared of a challenge...

What the name of that tune please :-)
-
@WHEREtheFUNK Hahaha prove it ;-)
-
buen tema y buena ejecucion de la guitarra
-
such a shame he has gone more or less unrecognised where boring players like Satriani get recognition for their dry ways
-

"ESPECIALLY JAZZ!!!"? Why especially jazz? Have you not heard of guys like, Paganini, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Chopin ect. If playing classical music you hardly get an audience if you are not a virtuoso.
Talk about having your own voice!!...I would recognize MLF in an entire sea of shredders.

Shred fans are NOT the ONLY intelligent music fans! IF you've studied MUSIC, at all, you'd know that JAZZ and CLASSICAL virtuosoes have existed LONG before "shred" was even THOUGHT about!...ESPECIALLY JAZZ!!! Check out Wes Montgomery, old school, OR Allan Holdsworth, newer stuff as of the early 70s. Sax players, especially, have innovated a LOT of the virtuoso styles. See Charlie Parker and John Coltrane, and see IF you can wrap your "intelligence" around what THEY'RE playing! 'Nuff said!
