Watch this photo shoot as I use my Nikon D3S 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 VR II to capture candid images.

See how I handle figuring out on the fly how to make corrections to images that are not coming out to my liking without letting my subject know I am having issues.

  • Hey jared, were you not worried about getting wall particles and dust all over your equipment?

    Dave

  • @kentuckyfriedmeat96 not really I wanted to get the shots which to me is more important.

  • what camera do you use to record??

  • @argmax11 nikon d7000 and the 16mm fish eye.

  • sorry jared but it's time to learn flash.

  • @LizardanNet I have no problem with flash, for this type of photo shoot though this is my style of doing things, capturing these guys in their situation how they are. i could start doing some off camera flash during these things but i feel that would be getting away from my personal style.

  • @JaredPolin how bout into ur affro ?

  • This just proves i've been living off my 18-200mm for faarrrrr too long.

It's just so nice to not to have to change.

The quality is the sacrifice though.

  • Really awesome. Love videos like this. So informative. Thanks Jared.

  • Great job making such a boring situation look great on the pictures

  • @JanErikEdvartsen Thats what I figured but with them popping up on screen i wasn't sure if he was showing it AS he shot. Thank you!

  • @BrwnEydPrtyGrl LOL! :)

  • @crow024 Jared always like to shoot in color and convert to BW later, as he has the option to go back later :)

  • Jared quick question: Those B&W's- are they post production BW conversions or are you using the setting off the camera?

  • ONE OF JAREDS MASTER PIECE

  • Jared this is one of my personal favorite videos you have created. I love the photos that aren't posed or staged in any way. I personally can't stand flash photography so I appreciate your use of the equipment to get the more natural looking shots. Keep it up man I love this stuff.
