@DragonZord90 I think this is the best way to learn nunchucks... If you start learning from the chinese nunchaks you will get hurt. At least with this nunchucks you learn the basic steps.

Speedchuks are for style and speed, for being fancy. He mentioned not to hold too far away from the chain/rope. And that's true for freestyling. But if they were weapons, at the base of the stick (that's what i'm calling it) is exactly where you'd need to hold it. And they won't look sloppy if you have proper wrist and finger strength which would come with training.
