Well, acctually hindustani music was only organized into thaats when Bhatkande collected ragas into groups. But even the thaat system doesn't always work. There are ragas which can't be put into categorization. Madhuwanti is one of those, fx.
I want to say so much more, but I don't have too much space......
The cursing is abusive and excessive, although Faisalleszion may mean well, like many historians, he has sensationalized his perception and appreciation. The world will be better with less of this.
Hindustani music has only existed since the time of Mughal patronage when Indian classical music split into two forms due to the Persian influence on the music of the Mughal courts. Carnatic music is far closer to the ancient forms of classical music. To say that what is performed today as Hindustani music is the same as it was during the time when Bharat wrote Natya Shastra is a hugely misinformed statement.
I'm not saying that organization solely came from them, but the fact is Hindustani music became far more standardized and less susceptible to the disorganized Gharana system because of VD Paluskar and Pt Bhatkhande. Anyways, it's impossible to say exactly what and how music was sung and performed during the time of Bharat.
My argument is solely on the faisallezion statement that pre-baba hindustani music was unorganized. You are stating that organization came from vishnu digambar who learnt music from Balakrishnabuwa who's style was kayal...which is persian....he did NOT organize nothing. Hindustani music was born long ago when the vedas were written. From panini to bharata's natya shastra..the first raga..sama raga...please research properly.
no it hasnt. organization came with people like the vishnu digambar paluskar and pandit bhatkhande. both you and faisalleszion need to study indian classical history more closely.

Seems like you could open your eyes slightly to see a little deeper.
This great music deserves allot more respect. You're statement is a great disservice to the genius and legacy of Maestro Baba Allaudin Khan.
What about Baba's great disciple and daughter Roshanara Khan, who's name was changed at the tender age of 14 to Annapurna Devi?
Well all could be more respectful and grateful.
Namaskar
