Not "holier" than thou, just making some suggestions to make his "aileron roll" a little, uh, better. Dive to get a little speed, pull up THEN do the roll. You won't pick up all that speed you did on this one when you roll out. But what do i know lol.

UpSideDownFlyBoy Nothing worse than a bunch of holier than thou pilots. Looked safe to me and if you had fun that is what counts. I soloed a champ more years ago than I like to think about.

That was a piss-poor roll. Update this video when you've learned how to roll one correctly. I am certain it was positive all the way around; especially in the dive.

A poorly executed aileron roll at that. Not enough pitch up at the beginning allowed for a too nose low attitude at the finish.

you can hear the non inverted fuel/oil engine decide it wasn't happy about 200 degrees into that roll...and yes, the spars in many Champs are surprisingly strong. I trust the wings in the Champ more than in the Citabria at the FBO that is constantly rented out to Yahoos pulling 4 g's on them. Champ will keep you alive longer, methinks.

Fun, thanks.
What HP? Year Bird?

Awesome vid. Let's see a loop.

I use to roll alot until I realized the spars were 60 years old.....
This plane has Citabria wings and spars so they are only around 40 years old. :)
