@southpark645 Not wanne start an argue here, but when Bob passed away on 08/21//01 Bono dedicated 'kite' the same night to Bob at their London gig . What's this song got to do with saying goodbye to someone/or dedicate to someone you love(d) ?
'kite' is a perfect dedication to his father . You can find the 'London-kite-speech' on YT or on my channel if you like (2nd in my favo's list) .

@johnyg30518 dude honestly if you watch the entire slane castle more importantly kite and then this side by side kite is nothing special he dedicates it to his father but doesnt sing in any special way, and if you listen closely at like 50 seconds bono shouts "father" and the way he sings this song, and the look on his face at the very end of this song in my opinion bono was thinikin about his dad wayy more in this one and kite bono shouldve dedicated this to his father instead, jus listen to it!
