New feature coming to Latitudes that supports "Instant-On" for access to email, calendar, internet -- via Linux OS and separate chip -- without booting into Windows.

  • Installed Linux or Windows on hdd is necessary because of biger programs like full office, photoshop, ......

  • ARM is totally the way to go. When you can boot into your data instantly, and you can have a bettery life for days.. One has to wonder - why the hell would you want to boot into Windows?

  • Excellent news. There's no stopping the onset of Linux based devices. Embedded solutions like this will show the Windows populace that Linux desktops can let them do 99% of the work they do in Windows, but can do it quicker, more conveniently (no licensing issues) and more securely.
