Population increase is not the biggest issue, it's consumption. The idea that the developing nations try to emulate the hugely wasteful societies of the west. The world could quite easily sustain 10 million people if we chose to live in a more sustainable way or it could sustain 3 billion if the world chose to live as the US.

@Senkatuka23 You mean if we stop being people, if we abandon the lives and aims we want to pursue and instead do what our moral socialist betters have told us is right for us, we can obtain enough forage and pasture to live bovine lives in huge vegetarian communist herds. Quantity over quality. For what purpose? What do any individuals gain by being a member of a larger population with a lower living standard and smaller dreams?

@33Crazydude I didn't miss the point at all, it was a totally different point, not my point and antithetical to my point. There is no point in having a larger population and living reduced sub-human lives in order to accommodate a larger herd with a bovine existence. We would all suffer and be curtailed in our aspirations merely so that there could be more people alive to live an unsatisfactory sub-human lifestyle. Who benefits from that? Does a chicken benefit from being one of 16 billion?

@MartinJWillett If we took the total population of the wealthier nations & kept this number unchanged, but then purged 2 billion of the poorest people from the earth you would still have similar damaging results upon the earths biosphere.

No one is saying you should live a poorer quality of life, but we need a different type of economic system to maintain high quality of life, but preserving our planets finite resource. If We don’t change our ways I fear the worse and I shit you not.

Earth is overpopulated & lower populated west consumes excessively.

Yes if poor countries were more industrial & better educated this would influence the populous to make better decisions on child numbers, but it’s time for a shift in the way we view the world & some of our societal values. The crisis is our monetary system. Humans must intellectually desire a system that benefits the one & the others around them & still pushing forward science & innovation. Always growing GDP is mad.

Everytime you see a photo of a somali woman she is knocked up. She'll have a kid in her arms and 6 more hanging off her burka. There's no food,water, or jobs but they just keep on fuckin. I've no sympathy for them. 74 % of black women in the U.S. have never worked a day in thier lives and have 6 kids to 6 different black men and survive on welfare. The men don't pay a dime. Thier daughters will breed just like mommy. Just what we need ,more black fucks on welfare.
