  • Brilliantly played - the music has a natural, if slightly sad, flow to it, & you flat-out NAILED it!!!

Great tone also, on the E-flat.

  • Thanks Strad. I appreciate all your warm comments on the Bolling movements I posted on youtube. All my best!

    Andrew

  • hotlipsab: THANK YOU form posting this beautiful interpretation, I have heard it many, many times.

  • Nicely done! I used to play trumpet, but couldn't break through a ceiling of advanced technique I desired. If ever I do achieve this, Toot Suite would definitely be part of my rep. Keep playing!

  • Outstanding! Especially since all I'm really use to is Taps at Arlington National Cemetary.

  • Also, have you tried any Monette mouthpieces at all?

Keep up the fantastic work. I've definately feel in love with this movement and the way you've interpreted it. Very easy to listen to and it's very well written. You can hear a lot of stuff they teach in theory classes as well as counterpoint. And it's tonal which is always a win in my books, haha!

  • Have you ever tried the Stevens on C? I find it to be a little more brilliant and crisp at times. I too play a Bach Strad C 229. Freaking love that horn. I don't think I'll ever touch my Bach Strad 72 Bb ever again, haha.

I love the sound coming from the Stomvi Eb. I have a Stomvi Elite Bb/A picc and it's a wonderful horn but the sound you're generating from the Eb on the Bolling is just pure and almost like it's effortless. You've done an excellent job with this piece!!

  • Wow, very nice. Yea, being a fellow trumpet player, I know what it's like to try and obtain such a high level of intonation and phrasing along with note groupings when practicing and it's extremely difficult. Paying attention to such detail separates the amateurs from professionals.
