My son was born to this song 15 yrs ago, my poor husband had to hit the replay button dozens of times, but I was determined that Guy would be the first music he heard.

I love to hear Guy and Verlon together! You should check out "Legends and Lyrics" on PBS to hear them when it airs!

just saw/heard Buy and Verlon 9/20/08 Greenville, Tx. Both intro'ed new songs. the entire concert was by request..the audience was sro and delighted. thanks guy and Verlon..what a treat!

Just saw Guy and Verlon last weekend at SpringFest at Live Oak, Fl.
Verlon's "I Need More Time" made me cry.

Guy Clark is great on record or live. I watched him growing up in Nashville playing the Exit/In. Had a beer or two together at the Gold Rush too. Long may you run Guy, i play your music daily.

I saw Guy Clark, Verlon Thomson, Suzy Ragsdale( Verlon's wife and Ray Stevens daughter) and Darrell Scott at a place called Green Acres. It was in the middle of nowhere and it was like stepping back in time. I can't remember how long ago it was but I think it was in the early nineties.
It was a great show!

I've seen these guys a bunch of times...they're the greatest. If anyone is a Verlon fan, check-out his DVD called "Out at the Barn". Guy's in it, too.

I saw Guy Clark and Verlon Thompson at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Truly Great... I have every one of his albums, and if you dont have any of Guy's albums, I suggest buying at least one...it doesn't even matter which one...but Keepers is my favorite.

I haven't yet. I did however get to see them at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in SF the last two years. If you are able I highly recommend going to that amazing (and free) event. One of the best music events in the country all year.

Thanks for posting, Jazzcaf. These are two of my favorite guys in the world and this song is an example of their great talents. The album version is still tops though, they did such a great job recording it.
