Sad to say but ebay users' machines are becoming little more than behavioral marketing research zombie bots due to all the ads and tracking garbage on the site now. Maybe eb should just close down that dangerous blivet and open an ad farm.

Surprised no one else picked up on this. There was an Amazon ad banner once too. Maybe it's just me but I don't think advertising and steering paying customers-users towards your competition is really the best strategy. These ebay people must be on some really good drugs.
