Location
• 8 separate apartment buildings along University Drive (6607, 6627, 6633, 6639, 6645, 6649, 6801, 6811), directly across from the University on the northside.
• U drive is located in the Ames Place Neighborhood, a private community in University City.
Apartment & Furnishings
• Each building holds 4 apartments with 3 bedrooms (except 6811 2W which has 4 bedrooms and 6811 1E which has 2 bedrooms).
• Apartments furnished with:
o Couch
o coffee table
o End table
o Dining room table/chairs
o Fridge
o Stove/oven.
• Bedroom furnished with:
• Twin XL bed
• Dresser
• Desk/chair
• Bookshelf
• Bathrooms have a shower curtain provided.
• No apartment is exactly the same! Some apartments have hardwood while others have carpet.
• All buildings have central air except 6627, which has AC units and radiator heat.
Amenities
• 2 RAs are available to assist residents and plan events.
• Laundry (campus card accepted) is located in basement of each building.
• U Drive residents have access to the Village Computer Lab in the basement of Village House.
• Fee based cable through Charter Communications. Expense of cable not covered by Residential Life.
• Ethernet is provided by Student Technology Services.
• Free parking can be found behind each building (without permit) and on the street (with sticker obtained upon checking into Village Office).
• As part of a private neighbourhood residents must display the parking sticker. If the sticker is not displayed or the car is parked outside the designated parking zone on the street they will be towed by the Ames Place Neighborhood Association; a detailed map of the parking zone can be found at the entrance to each building.
Safety & Security
• Blue light phones available outside.
• Card swipe access into the building and apartments.
• CCTV at all entrances and in the laundry rooms.
• 24/7 security patrol in the neighborhood.
• Campus2Home Shuttle available.
