Here is a video tutorial covering the two basic forms of animation. Move and rotate. It also touches a little on link hierarchy/parent and children objects.

Sorry for the delay on this video. I have been sick with some sort of flue for the last MONTH.

  • cheers for the tut!

  • Grr... this really wouldn't be that hard if i had the arrows to move the things up and down. for some reason it wont let me have that option. i can only move it side to side, not up and down. and with rotate i can only spin it 360 degrees, i cant turn it over. any ideas? BTW: it's giving me a Z, Y, and X when i select an object, and i can only move the object on the X or Y axis.

  • Thx for a simple tutorial! didn't know it was so easy to animate in 3D max.

  • Genius!

  • This is awsome, thanks dude. Thumbs up. That realy help me, thanks.

  • Simply put, YouTube only allows for 10 mins per video, and something like that would take hours if not weeks. Start simple, and work your way up.

  • yeah cool

  • Haha I love the prop!

  • Looking forward to that :-)
