BMW E36 Instrument Cluster on PC via USB & Arduino MEGA - Speedo / Rev Counter LIVE

The video shows the current status of my HRSim project (http://hrsim.blogspot.com), created using a BMW E36 Instrument Cluster, an Arduino MEGA board, and a DIY interface (used mainly for 0-5V to 0-12V conversion).

The system uses a PC application (written in C#) to receive gauge data from Live For Speed via UDP (using OutGauge), which it then sends over USB (serial protocol) to the Arduino board. The Arduino board processes the received data and activates the corresponding lights in the dashboard module:
- Full Beam
- Turn Signals
- Traction Control
- Parking Brake
- Shift Light
- Redline Signal

as well as the Speedometer and Rev Counter.

Next: get the Water Temp and Fuel Tank dials to work. When i'll get those figured out, I'm gonna move to a H-pattern shifter made using a force feedback joystick.

PS: My camera's batteries died on me, so I'm going to come back with another, more complete video, as soon as possible.
