@justinparfitt1 i think the main problem with internet dating is the majority of profiles are actually fake and made to seem like the website has a lot of clients where as theres not many people using it just paying the fees and getting suckered at least with speed dating you meet real people, I should try it one time but I guess I need a job first.

@alljahid Nothing like a well articulated and thoughtful contribution. But for those of you that see the merit of this position, think it through. What do you have to do to get one actual real world date? With speed dating you go out, have some drinks and meet 10-15 real women in one night. No brainer.

@gaelgeseomra You're absolutely right - one survey has suggested that less than 7% of online dating profiles are accurate, with almost everyone misrepresenting themselves in some way, be it height, their age or posting a deceptive picture. With speed dating you meet people in person so it's easy to see if there's any chemistry.
