The Popcorn Party, owned by the Belgian showman Van Herck-Van den Bossche is a one of a kind ride. The ride is manufactured by the now defunct Sobema. As far as my information goes, this is the only ride of this type they've build.
The ride is somewhat similar to the Break Dance no. 3, although it's ride experience is different. It has 8 cars with 4 seats each, 2 cars per 'satellite'. a Hydraulic system can lift the individual cars (instead of the whole arm).
It was build in 1995 and had is premiere on the Sinksenfoor of Antwerp. Originally the ride had 3 x 4 cars and featured a roof construction. But in it's early days the ride had quite a few problems with it's hydraulic systems. Finally the Dutch ride manufacturer KMG removed the roof and 4 cars, to it's current 2 x 4 cars arrangement. A video showing it's original design can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=NL&hl=nl&v=6goOM9zHfeA .
The experience is quite different from a break dance and more intense, especially when a car is unevenly loaded. The ride travels mostly the mid-sized fairs in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium.
