You can compare all day and all night But really they are only influences that shape the outcome whether years or decades later.
It forms the basis for music that is created in whatever time.
Unless you never listen to anything and create out of the blue -which I don't think happens-There will always be influences. Comparisons are merely acknowledgement of influences .
You cannot compare to say " so and so is better than so and so".
THESE ARGUMENTS HOLD NO WATER.

I'm guessing not you. Now, ask me if I care that you care. The point was I wasn't saying it to call Steve on copying anything, but to reflect on the Floyd-sounding part of it. Which kinda' goes against the "Crimsonesque" characterization.

Not that I am the type to criticize Steve--my favorite guitarist--of simple imitation--but since you mention Crimson-esque. If kind of made me hear the Floyd-esque part at the beginning.
