Musician, Songwriter. He was a founding member of the music group The Highwaymen. Born David Louis Fisher, his entertainment career began during his teenage years as a member of the doo-wop group The Academics, while attending Hillhouse High School in New Haven. They achieved some success with the singles "Too Good to Be True" (1957) and "Something Cool" (1958), the latter of which Fisher co-wrote and was lead vocalist.
Thank god these songs are here. I had them on a cassette years ago recording Don K. Reed's Doowop Shop on Sunday nights back in the70's but the tape long since passed away(LOL) Many of these songs you just can't find in stores. Again, thank god for youtube!

Don K. Reed used to play this great song often on his "Doo Wop Shop" broadcasts on WCBS-FM. Great to be able to hear it again!
