  • He's pushing them louder than I ever did mine.

After at least 40hr break in they reveal more detail.

Their sound is more forward mids & more alive than the m50. Very sweet without sibilance. The sound is more preferable especially if you like a slightly grado-ish forward alive sound. I would not call these lesser than m50 just different & addictive miss. Best portable AudioTechnica made besides the es9 & 10.

So far they haven't been beat by lesser the 55 or 70 versions. Maybey the es88 can.

  • good!

  • I bought mine 1 month ago at 150 $ which is the lowest price I found but they had to come from Hong Kong. The thing is, you really have to watch out for fakes cause there are A LOT of them sold at 89 $ (fakes) . And I live in Canada by the way

  • Can you tell me what's that on top of the speaker ?

    Creative Decoder ?

  • @tommisama Hey do you know anything about the Audio Technica ATH WS55 Solid bass they are meant to be really good too, I guess anything audio technica should be fairly good yea?

  • i bought me one in Japan too. They r great value for the money and the bass is enorm for that size. its def. a real high quality product. bought me the ATH ES 5 too, but the i rather prefer the bigger brother.

Take care and compare pics on the net carefully cuz there r a lot of fake ones out there!

  • @MrV0R0N So is the bass good on these, could you let us know?

  • @ryanthefreaker That's the reason why I got the ES-55s instead...it's got like 90-95% the performance, but have brushed aluminum housings :)

  • bet that attracts fingerprints like flies to a corpse :P
