A 10 minute frolic with the Mongolian Buddhist artist Soyolma, winner of the Mongolian Female Artist of the Year Award in 2008. Fun and frolic in the Far Northeast.
The music is continually surprising, from opening with Miles Davis to being pulled from Vajrayogini's liberating presence by rousing bluegrass music and deposited back at the gallery, to traditional music of Mongolia. Soyolma's paintings are portals to mystic dimensions, enchanting, frightful, deconstructing of conventional appearances (or materializing them from causes and conditions), conveying wisdom, beauty. They must be something to see in person. Soyolma deserves recognition for her work.
Glenn, thank you for thinking of me. It is a sunny afternoon here in Chicago. The artwork was evocative. What an amazing thing to see this film here in the States all the way from Mongolia. Thanks. Michael
Very cool!
