The results of the parliamentary elections in Lebanon are in, and the incumbent western-backed government has been returned to power. It's being portrayed as bad news for Iran and Syria, who are backers of the Shiite militant group Hezbollah. As for Israel, its attention is still focused on the landmark Cairo speech from US President Obama.

Good so you know it was a good thing, because I assumed you were using it as a bad fact in the previous comment

The term appeared during the election campaign depicting FPM plan to fight corruption, bolster Christians status, and create social system based on equality, preserve Lebanon distinctive character, and the relation with Syria base on mutual respect. The most significant slogan is the coexistent and open relation with various Lebanese sects, Aoun took his alliance with Hezbollah as example.

What is that "third republic" that the FPM (General Aoun's) was trying to achieve, if I may ask?

Hazbollah carried out the most dirty mission during 2008 crisis , which gave the opposition leverage , and made Hezhollah powerful enough to be the leading opposition party .

With ,utmost respect your country is open book ,changing the regime does not mean turning Lebanon to religious regime , What Yaari means is turning into "confrontation state" .Nasserallah offered Iran aid to arm the Lebanese army publicly , General Aoun was about to proclaim The "third republic" .

You seem to know your information. I won't pretend to know more than you. I don't live in Lebanon and it's certainly not the area I know most about. I appreciate that things can look different for someone living in the country and for a journalist who's not living there everyday. Everyone looks at situatuons from a different perspective and has different interpretations, it's a good thing. It makes for interesting discussions.

Or can they see that some people are the in the opposition because they're opposing the way the Hariri family led the country in the past 20 years, collaborating with Syria to steal people's money and get the country into a 45+ billion US$ debt, and now they're acting as the heroes who kicked its troops out, and ruining the country goes on and on because of them.
No they can't see this, all what they see:
Opposition? They you're pro Hezbollah, then you're anti Israel, then you're a terrorist.

I said he receive the image of.. as in he reminds me of.. Anyways, you seem to be fond of the guy, but every time I hear someone saying Hezbollah wants to change the regime in Lebanon, I tend to lose focus on what they're saying, because it's far from true.
Or when they say the "Opposition led by Hezbollah..", can't they see that the opposition has many parties, including ones which has double the seats in the parliament (Michel Aoun's FPM)?
They can't.

What u have 2 remember is, that Ehud Ya'ari isn't some random watching CNN at home and making an opinion. He's a Journalist who has access to people and information we could only dream of. You may not agree with his opinion, but he's certainly not ignorant. Ignorant would mean he's giving his opinion without any basis for his info. This isn't true. He's giving a more informed opinion than you or I could ever.

He might have connections and relations in the world, but as a Lebanese, when I hear him saying stuff about my country that doesn't make sense like changing the regime and whatever, I can't help it to receive an image of ignorance that reminds me of most Americans who watch CNN and think they know everything (I'm not pro Hezbollah, & I'm not pro March14 coalition).
