After just three years in the Senate Barack Obama demonstrates his poor grasp of basic economic principles.

While families face tough times his ideas to raise taxes are out of touch.

His promise to nearly double the capital gains tax hurts the middle class.

"...what I've said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness."

"Your talking about 100 million Americans who own stocks that will get impacted by that capital gains tax increase."

"I think we can have a capital gains rate that is higher than 15%."

"Why raise it at all especially given the fact that 100 million people in this country own stock and would be affected?"

Barack Obama also promises to raise the payroll tax cap on millions of workers and small businesses.

"I think lifting the cap is probably going to be the best option."

"The best idea I think is to raise the cap on the payroll tax."

Does Barack Obama understand our economy? Then why would he raise taxes at the worst possible time?

Barack Obama. Ideas that are out of touch... Not ready to be President.

Thank the Lord God above that we are finally hearing some truth being spoken. What good will come from raising taxes? They have already tried it before. Where did it get us?

Great ad. Not to mention the estate tax, death tax, and corporate tax. I'm also confused as to how he's gotten so far saying, "I'm going to decrease taxes for 95% of Americans."  How can the American people believe this when nearly every time he gotten an opportunity, on the state or national level, he's supported raising taxes? Moreover, last time I checked, McCain's plan offers tax cuts for 100% of Americans. isn't 100% > than 95%?

Obama has said that the election should be about judgment not experience.

Any person with good judgment should know that it takes a lot of experience to be President of the United States.
