1000 Jackblairs wouldn't even be worth the life of 1 Howard Zinn. Whether you agree with his politics or not, you'll never accomplish even a quarter of what he did during his life. So please, shut the fuck up.

Hey Jackblair2, Profanity, ignorance and lack of any kind of respect for a great man; dead or otherwise, is a sign that he was speaking for you. After he finished fighting for you're country, he tried to educate you about the men that were exploiting you. Glad he's dead? he was a last great hope for main street America. you should, though I guess you won't... be ashamed

'War is a profit making machine. . .,' I'd say that pretty much sums up that!

He says that modern day angry citizenary who turn to the right is how you end up in fascism. Right Zinn, because those who are angry and turn to the left never turn to authoratiran Communism/Socialism?
Gotta love the double standard and fear mongering of partisans like Zinn.

@bhavens little aggressive for you hippie pussies eh? lol what did he accomplish exactly you fuckin' faggot?

Great man. Too bad he wasn't the kind of communist that US officials wanted to work with. They saved all that favoritism for the Chinese brand of Confucian Communism and its obeisance to Crony capitalism in place of socialism, i.e. "socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics." The US plutarchy loved that idea. It completely skipped worker ownership and worker representation but allowed foreign corporations a piece of the pie.

- a Palestinian Christian thankful for Howard's support of the Palestinian cause to get freedom, equality, and self-determination for Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

Matt Damon and Howard Zinn as Boston neighbors. How freaky is that?

What I meant to say was that it was from unconventional sources (ie, not texts which are not usually cited when talking about history) AND it went incredibly in depth into the subjects it discusses. For instance, the way it looks at the relationship between white indentured servants and black slaves was deep and eye opening.
My problem with your criticism is that I really don't think you're hitting the substance of my answer. The real substance lies in the opinions, not some technical wording.

You're speaking to a historian here. Using "unconventional sources" does not denote depth of research.
Where's part 1?

It was removed because of copyright complaint filed by A&E. I have to see about restoring it.
