2 green chromis came down with symptons similar to that exhibited in fish infected with Myxobolus cerebalis.

  • Interesting.

    In a natural setting they would most certainly attract predators who would consume the host and potentially spreading the parasite.

  • That is indeed how many of these parasites work. Same with snail parasites.

  • one of the green spotted puffers in my freshwater tank just started doing this. its odd because i have had him for over 4 months now as well as the other two in the tank and i haven't introduced anything new into the tank since i got them. i have been feeding them blood worms but they shouldn't have the any parasites in them.
