Three games into Thomas King's freshman season on the JV team, long-time East Hampton varsity coach Ed Petrie realized that King (2013) was the future of East Hampton basketball. Coming off of back-to-back county championships in '08 and '09, Petrie decided that not only was King the future, but his talents made him a part of the present as well. King played the rest of his freshman season with the East Hampton varsity squad, and entered his sophomore season under new coach Billy McKee as the go-to guy. During his sophomore season as the team's starting point guard, King put up impressive numbers of 16.1 points per game (including a career high 35 at Elwood-John Glenn), 3.7 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 2.8 steals per game on a team that was rebuilding around the sophomore. His play earned him All-League honors, as well as being named to the All-Long Island Sophomore Team and the All-Long Island Honor Roll selected by LongIslandBasketball.com. King extends his abilities on the court to volleyball, where he was named the league's Rookie of the Year and earned All-League honors during his sophomore season. Thomas is looking forward to playing at the next level, and we want to help him get there! For more information, please e-mail KandCProspectVideo@gmail.com
