Vespula maculifrons queen

Her name is Electra. I caught her today. She's beautiful, isn't she? I haven't got her terrarium set up yet, but I'm working on it. I wanted to show her to everyone!

Nice to see other people keeping Wasps in captivity. I currently have 1 queen Vespula vulgaris that I am trying to hibernate. They are misunderstood. They are just so beautiful! The patterns are to die for :)

phantomon2010 i have a question my queen paper wasp polistes dominula has a nest she adopted but she doesnt make it bigger she just sits on it with a few workers i have 16 workers and 8 soildeirs and 2 queens one is egg layer she sit on the nest the other one dosent aso i have 6 or 7 un fetilized queens
