the severely wounded - TBI's etc - from Iraq and Afghanistan are Americas secret shame. Half the time it seems like the army or service tries to minimize it, say it was from a previous condition or just play it down. get real u jokers in suits.

i was in a humvee roll over near the jordan border, clearing the route, truck didnt wanna move, i moved him, head on with a humvee vs suburban truck, not sure who won, but my gunner fractured a vertebrae in his back, i have some memory issue and stability issues. the iraqi or jordanians didnt make it, well at least 2 didnt. i never thought it was gonna be that bad, and it was by far the scariest near death moment i ever had. army infantry - hooooaaaaa - i hope all of you get better.

Chad is awesome. I hope he's continuing to recover. Does anyone know what word puzzle video game he was playing?

My husbad has a TBI, the VA said he had it all his life and has denied his disability. Thank goodness the college has determined that he has problems and the disability services is working with him to help him suceed. Now if only the military would acknowledge this instead of letting the soldiers fight this on their own.

The lady in the pink shirt at 4:15 is so full of shit. They barely have ANY treatments for TBI, and they aren't really treatments. They basically try to "treat" side effects. The medical community barely knows anything about TBI's and the VA doesn't do shit to help them. This is coming from a nurse who worked at a VA with TBI vets, and who is married to a soldier who is permanently disabled after driving over a buried road-side bomb who suffered from a moderate TBI.
