  • This is why You Tube is a dream for classic TV junkies. Before playing this very clip, I had not seen a frame of this show since it originally aired, and it somehow made a lasting impact on a 6 yr old. Anyone who saw this show knew how funny Cleavon Little was before "Blazing Saddles". Caproom 99 hit it right on the head. No disrespect to Paul Lynde, but this was Cleavon's show and it should've stayed that way. The bosses made a mistake by re-tooling it.

  • Underrated comedy, at least in its first season. Cleavon Little showed the comic gifts that would serve him well in "Blazing Saddles," and James Whitmore turned out to be a fine comic foil. But things were ruined in the second season, when Whitmore was replaced by Paul Lynde, and Little was turned into a "serious" doctor as to not steal the supposed laughs from the new star.

  • Saw this on wwor in 1992. When she was on the tail end of Knots landing.

  • @MrCraigblaze It was cancelled after two seasons after it went through three different formats. To my knowledge it's never been shown in syndication and is not available on DVD. Too bad because it was a good show ... at least in its first season. Good cast, too (Nancy Fox was extremely cute and adorable).

  • i remeber this show as a kid

  • what ever happened to this show ?

  • Joan Van Ark!!! <3

  • I would like to have seen the first season. I saw the version with Paul Lynde here and it was not so great. I am not old enough have more than a periphial memory of the Paul Lynde episodes, though I do seem to remember hearing the theme coming from the television. I wish shows had end themes these days.

  • This show was funny!
