You cant get it right trough writing when in comes to english, anyway the second option is closer

@Sepix666 first is better because in Selänne theres no U. not even when pronounced. So seLANee or seLANne sounds better to the Finnish ear.

@l0otKr3w I dont know many foreings whos know how to pronounce letter Ä. It´s a damn easy to fin pronounce name correctly but not who speaks english...
