Gary talks about screw caps and explores five sauvignon blanc wines from New Zealand. Watch as Gary ventures through the Sauvignon Blancs of Marlborough and weighs in on the screw top debat in the wine industry.
So Gary, is the wine going to be just as good out of a box as it is from a bottle? What's the big deal screw cap vs cork? Let the wine maker decide. I prefer cork on age-able wines and screw cap on young drink now wines. That doesn't make me snotty or snobby. It makes me a consumer. I'll drink wine from a Tetra-Pak when it calls for it (picnics, skiing, at the beach) does that make me any less of a wine lover? No. Put your nose back in the glass where it belongs.
hey there just finished working in marlbrough about 1 km away from Kim Crawford. I was working at a winery called Oyster bay over vintage now back at uni studying wine. and got a job at a vinyard over the break. good wine review of marlbrough.

Cork is organic and employs 200,000 people in Spain and Portugal. Screw tops are made from Iron-ore and come from huge holes in the ground.
Cork Trees live for 200 plus years.
It has nothing to do with being snobby , it has to do with enviroment , nature and human. Get ur nose out of the sky.
