Jam on a modified SoundMaster Memory Rhythm SR-88 Drum machine.. This SR-88 has had the Sync in Mod, and several circuit bends applied. The legend goes: this was one of a gang of 'clones' that appeared near the end of the 1970's - all with alike designs and sound. You may know this machine as a BOSS DR-55 or a CLEF MasterRhythm (etc.) 4 Channel Sequencer, 32 steps, Transistor sounds, using a massive 256words of ram! Easy to fix, loves to bend, and with the help of an external Square wave LFO - it can swing!!
wah what have you done to it :(

Lovely! I have the Latin Percusion model. Great video and I like the mods! Awsome, some of the modern beatboxes are sterile and boring! I love it! I love it! I love it!
If that was around in the 50's it could be used for a secret weapon in a Cold War movie! Brill!

I'd love to see a shot of the inside - how did you fit the switches in? That space barely has room for the batteries on mine, much less a bunch of pots and switches.

How do you do the Sync in mod?
I have a ST-305, the SR-88's brother :)
And the trigger input only triggers all the sounds at the same time, not forwarding the sequencer one step at a time like it should...
Just wondering if there's a mod for it?
Thanks!

hello, do you still have that drumbox ? if yes, is it possible to get some pictures from the circuitry inside ? near the AC adaptor jack , I have a burned resistor in mine ( near the AC jack on the left when you see the big Capacitor on the right.

I just found perhaps an earlier version of one of these in my basement. It lacks the bank of toggle switches on the side but everything else is there. It is still in the box.
