Were you trying to show a video of that car shown that its out of gas?
-
@Timartm5 all bmw have this problem tht tells u tht u have no seatbelt on but when u do have it on
-
@Charlie135i it started with the e39M5 and e46 M3. Both used lighted sections on the RPM indicator that would go out progressively as you drove. You could still go to the redline if you wanted. It didnt cut the engine off, but it was there to recommend to you that you keep it at low revs. And its been in almost every M-series car since

Several BMWs have the movie rev limit thing like that. A 645 I drove had it.
-
I believe you have low tire pressure...
-
wow, i never knew the redline of the M3 moves!
such details is what i love of BMW
-
@mdapson Actually it does limit it. I got one.
Ooooh dudes. Reading all your comments shows there is serious problems with your knowledge....Have you guys even seen the rev-counter on the m3. It's red-line moves with respect to the temprature of the engine. This is a cold start, so the red line went back to 4000-4500 rpm. After a couple of minutes of running it would go up, and let the engin run at full speed (8250 - oh my god). But race engines must be warmed up properly before use. Dude who made the video did a perfect job!
