1.I like this visualization, but am still having a DIFFICULT time trying to not cross the line at the top of the swing.
2. Can we assume that the visualizaiton is that the back of the hosel is leading the cast and the face of the club is turning over unconsciously when the elbow straightens, like Pete Sampras' tennis swing?

@clemshaw Thanks Shawn.

Now I get where my arms are supposed to be at the top of my backswing. Thanks again Shawn !

shawn I think you are by far a super instructor thank you much for your video, the only thing is you have to slow things down and get the camera a little closer so we can get a good look. it's sad we have never meet and I have made you my golf instructor

3.. Since your original casting concept is that of an upright position (casting overhand to the target), and since the ball is below..should we visualize that we are collecting the ball in a fishing cast with an UNDERHAND fishing cast, thereby helping to hold the right elbow position for a better lag position?

@paularagon11 Yes; Very good Paul! You will see this in the video called "fishing and golf; shawn clement"
All the best! Shawn

Hi Shawn, Does it not go against "giving up control" in the backswing.

@mjs0039 Great point! To swing well, first you need to know the feel so that the central nervous system can allow you to match this more efficient motion to the intent which is "send ball to target" or "send momentum to target and collect ball-grass-ground on the way there". How can you turn it loose and let it go when you do not know what it should feel like? Have a look at last night's upload called "Feel the swing plane"; it gets deeper in the rabbit hole as far as feel is concerned...

Could you please express what the feeling is when you brace against the front side just before the downswing in this video? Does it start in the left arch and quickly rolls over to outside - or does it start bracing into the outside of left foot and rolling?
onpar18 1 year ago
@onpar18 Always stays against the left foot; it should not roll to the outside!
See "golf pro lesson how to get more club speed and power", "golf pro lesson feet together and one leg update" and "golf pro lesson tilted twirl"!
