ZX-14 runs a 9.99 quarter

This guy aboard a stock 2006 ZX-14 runs a 9.99 second quarter mile @142 mph. This video was shot at State capitol speedway in baton rouge la. on 7/8/06.Not bad for bone stock! Sorry about the drag quad background noise.

You guys don`t know $hit, the zx14,not the zx10 shown first, is not extended nor does it have aftermarket exhaust.The rider had only made a few passes on this bike hence the slow eta. stop hatin $hitstirrers!

why do people keep saying its not a stock swingarm?? I got the same bike and yes that is a stock swingarm.. and if that is a slip on then he probably doesn't have power commander. if that is a full exhaust, the bike is not stock because you pretty much have to have a powercommander etc. because of the leaness..and he shouldnt have to say second run, because if you know anything about bikes you can clearly see that the first bikes are not 14's

I was on that zx14. It was my first day on it. I got it into some high 9.30s stock lenght. With 8 over it went 8.98@ 152- 1.38 60. Stock motor. And I weighed 250lbs. With a light rider it went 8.70 @156 - 1.34 60

im calling that zx14 out... i got 100 bucks saying you cant catch me down the 1/4mile on my new Racing Red electric Razor scooter i got for christmas!! i extanded the swing arm on it...put a new 2 bros exhaust on it and next week im installing a velocity turbo on that bad boy!!!!!....you dont want known of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since you posted the video, it would be less confusing if you add "ZX-14 is the 2nd run" Peace!

Correction - the 1st and 3rd runs threw me off. The 2nd run (ZX-14 didn't have an extended swingarm but had aftermarket exhaust and was slammed (lowered). Any 9 second run is very quick but again, not impressive with what I have experienced with them. They are nice bikes, nonetheless.

A 9 second 1/4 mile is very quick but Baton Rouge has an elevation of 46 ft. above sea level. Both of these bikes have extended swingarms, aftermarket pipes, lowered and probably with Dynojet Power Commander ignition. For comparison, my 2002 Hayabusa (STOCK wheelbase) when it had stock pipes, a Power Commander & lowered was much closer to stock than these two bikes and at 1,100 ft elevation in 94 degree heat ran 9.64 @ 146 mph. I weigh 175 lbs. Others have run quicker, even. Just for comparison
