Brompton Cemetery is one of London's 'Magnificent Seven' Victorian cemeteries and is a remarkable and pleasant place to visit.
This is a video of a quick introductory talk about the cemetery, given at one of the cemetery open days, by one of the 'Friends of Brompton Cemetery'
There is a pamphlet and tour about the specially planted 'Trees of Brompton'

Beatrix Potter, who lived nearby, took the names of many of her animal characters from tombstones in the cemetery and it is said that Mr. McGregor's walled garden was based on the colonnades. Names on headstones included Mr. Nutkins, Mr. McGregor, a Tod (with that unusual single 'd' spelling), Jeremiah Fisher, Tommy Brock - and even a Peter Rabbett.

people go on about how great highgate is , but it's the only one you have to pay to go in , and i found the guides seemingly bored and uninterested in showing you anything much , this one is so much more interesting along with others of the seven !!
