Beecham, Inc. (the people who originally marketed "Brylcreem") was the manufacturer of "Macleans" toothpaste at the time they were one of "THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS COMEDY HOUR"'s "participating sponsors" [Roger Carroll, announcer]. Today, "Macleans" is primarly available throughout Europe and Asia, through Beecham's successor, GlaxoSmithKline. Yes, their jingle WAS catchy in '67, but "Macleans" itself....eh!

An excellent toothpaste. Not sure if it's still available in the US.
Thanks for posting.

Nice video, but sarcasm works best when it's actually funny....

Bobby Comstock and the Counts were the band that sang on that commercial...my husband being one of them.

It's been 40 years, but I still vividly recall this commercial, although I don't remember the little Dave Clark 5 coda at the very end. Incidentally, the reason Crest, Colgate and Pepsodent are still in business, and this brand isn't is because it tasted awful, and left a burning sensation in your mouth. Not one of my fonder childhood memories.
