I'm not crazy about the verses.. They almost remind me of a western movie. However, the hook is really good and the classic doo wop ending really makes the record.

  • When you go to our official website, you will find that special children did the cutting and pasting with real scissors and elmers glue. On the bottom of the first page are

many of our songs from 1960 to 2008. Thanks for answering. Could we talk. I had meetings with Herb Alpert, Lou Adler, Jerry Moss, Dean Torrence (jan & Dean) & other friends & supporters & we talked You Tube for a while. Office number in CA. is 530-877-2700, but it might be best to call my Cell at 530-321-3833 Thanks Don

  • Sounds good Don. I'll be at work until 5, unless they close us early due to the snow. I'll give you a ring later this afternoon

  • I sang lead on this song when Herb Alpert & Lou Adler were my managers & producers. They are in the R & R hall of fame & am a past U.S. citizen of the Year for helping impoverish children Google: don drowty project touch .com You can hear newer songs and get a look at our 35 free programs for special children.

Thank you so much for posting this. We all like it. I am looking at it while visiting special children at the City of Hope. Dante /Don Drowty

  • Don, it's a pleasure to hear from you. I had no idea you were a California group. Madison was a relatively small label from NY, so I figured you were a NY area group. I am about to head out to work but took a quick glance at your site.. It sounds like a wonderful civic organization you have there. I work for one of the nation's largest post-secondary schools, and we often get involved with organizations like yours.

  • I had this record back in the day. Very underrated song by a very underrated grouip. Terriffic

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully this brought back memories

  • Good tune!

  • TV was full of Westerns back then, so it's inevitable that some songs would have the C&W flavor. This song is really good! Thanks so much for sharing it. LG

  • This is truly the better side and I also like the flip to Alley Oop.

  • Very nice!
