magnetism, the power to attract,, the science that deals with magnetic occurrences, if you are rebuilding a flywheel magneto, at some point you will know what magnetize means, just basic elementary stuff, high tension spark, get back dog! get back!, remember, both sparkplugs fire at the same time,, and do not solder spark-plug wires onto the coil, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on,, old antique engine rebuilding tip,, if you are restoring an multi-motor you would want to use a original type condenser, this is not a restoration!, magneto backing plate serial No 20070, model 72-D, 1937 maytag gasoline engine, twin cylinder, kick start, 2-cycle, opposed piston, 5/8 H.P., 16-1 on the gas and oil mix, 30W non det. motor oil, made in the U.S.A., Newton, Iowa, to be continued,,

    Thanks for all the details. I have never felt that you were wasting our time! I have made use of every detail that you have provided so far in this series.

    Magneto repair will be especially helpful. My Model 72 has a broken spark plug wire so I am very interested in the proper spark plug wire replacement. My experience is successful repair is in the details.

    What is the wavy washer for? Is it steel, stainless steel, or phosphor bronze?
