This movie gets a lot of flack for being too extravagant, thus taking away from the dark undertones of the original story, but I have to admit that it's kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. It's just so visually stunning, it's hypnotizing.
One of my favorites.
I've also heard people say it's insulting to Sarat Chatterjee's novel, but 1935 ending of the film was altered, yet Chatterjee apparently loved that version, so who knows.

This movie wasnt what most people expected. But they beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Evryone has a different point of view. This move was so touching. If you want to know what happens, please watch 2:08 - 2:31 . Its the saddest thing ever. Thumps up if you agree, and understood. :') This movie will always be a memorable one in everyones hearts. <3
