I am driving John Jacobson's 1930 Miller - Ford dirt track sprint car at Lime Rock raceway in Connecticut during the VSCCA 2004 Fall Finale, September 25, 2004. Right up until I blow the engine into tiny little bits.

When I take my left hand off the wheel, it is to grab the brake. It is mounted on the outside of the car and acts only on the rear wheels. There are no front brakes.

Engine is Model B Ford with an overhead valve conversion cylinder head.

  • Did you restore the car and what kind of additives do you put in the gasoline?

  • I helped restore the car... It was a group effort.

We don't run additives, we run 106 to 110 octane leaded race fuel.

  • Thank God! Finally some cool vintage racing hits youtube. I've waited for this for a long time. Thanks. Let's see some more.

  • You are welcome. Just as soon as we get an engine together and back into the car... I'll be sure and grab plenty of video!
