Forget it. I have answers to every statement you have made but I can't seem to post any of it because either the Post icon fades or I get an error message. Guess you aren't meant to know any of what I'm trying to say.

I guess God created the sun at a point half way through its main sequence phase.

I will use this information & ask same thing when I next meet a member of the God Squad...

You are going to get a god of the gaps answers. They cannot realistically answer this question without invoking some sort of magic.

Firstly, my appologies for the insult. But the six days are in order. And I don't mean metaphoricaly. In fact, not even Hugh Ross or the others who show the order being consistent with science seem to realize that the creation of dinosaurs happens scripturally on day five. The KJ calls them great whales.

That's about as perfect an example as you can get with "vague statements", how on earth are whales anything like dinosaurs? How is that an even reasonable interpretation? Though the order is still wrong, plants on land did not come before fish. Land plants came about some fifty million years after fish, and birds didn't come till WAY after both. Reptiles themselves came before birds. The order is objectively false unless you take a pretty damn liberal interpretation.

I stand corrected. The sun probably isn't much older than the earth. But the numbnuts remark was directed at your question of why god would make the sun appear that old. He didn't. It is that old and God planned it all from the beginning. If you're going to ask these questions, please direct them specifically to young earth creationists. Because you'd be surprised how well the scriptures match the order of what science has found.

@236549
That was originally directed at specifically a young earth creationist, but that video has since been removed so it's no longer a reply to anything. And I wouldn't be suprised how people can claim the bible matches with what science has found, but I rarely find those arguments are anything but texas sharpshooter in origin that tend to hype vague matching statements as more literal while downplay less accurate statements as more metaphoric. Such as the order of creation being wrong.

I think it's older than that numbnuts.

@236549
The most recent paper I cited there was an '07 paper with an age of 4.68Gy, so if you think it's older, you might be right, though if any more recent measurements were made I somehow doubt that you'd find a radically different age. "Older than that" is a relative term, your claim could be either sensible or absurd depending on the answer to the question "how much older"?
