There is a reason that it says "Only on Xbox 360" on the game box. Wikipedia and even the official Mass Effect website say its only on and will stay on 360 and PC. So fuck google.

No, not sandbox like Mercenaries unfortunately. It's fairly linear as RPGs go, with set fights like you said, but I think it's still worth playing. The story is great.
