I love this film and think that it's one of the most overlooked and underrated Fantasy films since 2000 (along with Stardust and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Visual effects were decent. Nicole Kidman was stunning and very beautiful villainess. Dakota Blue Richards and Daniel Craig were great too. Hope they'll make a sequel

This movie rocked. :) The book was WAY better, of course, but they did a really good job considering that they had pressure put on them to water it down a fair bit more than they actually did. I do wish they'd put in the ending, but they said they'd use it in the Subtle Knife so I guess it's all right.

Yes, the ugly head of intolerance shows it's indignite face once again. BTW I made a point to see this b/c sooo many "christians" made such a hugh fuss of a fictional film and I brought friends w/ me.
When one group tries to dicate/decide 4 others thats how suppresstion starts!

this movie is ban from my schoool o.O it has something to do with our religion aka us catholics ... but wtv im still gonna watch it :P didn read the book though... but still gonna watch it :D
