    The coding strand is represented by the blue line and the template strand by the red line. The mRNA is identical to the coding strand (except that RNA contains uracil instead of thymine.

  • @coksy25 red strand is the template thus non-coding. the animation is right!

    5'-->3' (blue)= sense, +, non template or coding strand

    3'-->5' (red)= antisense, -,template or non coding strand

  • 0:39 "template strand also known as the coding strand". Really? template strand is non-coding!

  • At 5:43... I my opinion, mRNA should be the same as coding strand, not the template one... meaning mRNA should be AAAAA, not UUUUU, because TTTTT is the template strand..
