Nintendo released 2 models of TWIN FAMICOM, most on market are elder model AN-500BK & AN-500R, 'BK' is black color & 'R' is red color.
The later & LAST TWIN FAMICOM model release on Japan market is the AN-505 series, as the 500 series, also available in 2 color selection . . . 'BK' & 'R'
seems only three difference between the AN-500 & AN-505
1/ model number & out-look
2/ the AN-505 having TWO turbo-fire controller pad
3/ a LED on the power button
Except the above . . . shape, input/outputs, size & weight of AN-500 & AN-505 almost the same
B U T AN-505 is much lest than AN-500 on market, especially the AN-505R . . . because of the console will going YELLOW-ED easy . . . (just like the NEC's white PC Engine & Nintendo's Super NES / Famicom) part of the body is FxxKING easy become YELLOW-ED & couldn't be back to it's original color (T_T)

But this one seems still OK.
The power switch is YELLOWED but not too serious & whole console is really clean (^_^)

BOTH CARTRIDGE & DISK SYSTEM ARE TESTED & STILL IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION . . .
~^_^~

  • what power supply are you using for this, i just picked one up and i don't want to fry it with the worn voltage or polarity. thanks

  • I'm using it's ORIGINAL a.c.100V power supply

I remember it also could works with NEC's INTERFACE UNIT power supply

    (Dia.2.5mm d.c. plug) outer is ' - ' 10-12V ~1A will be fine.

  • Maybe you can remove the yellowing from the button by soaking it in some hydrogen peroxide mixed with a little oxi clean laundry powder and exposing it to the sun for a while.

  • Dear 133MHzz:

  • hey whats that monitor thingy your playing on? :D it looks like something from star trek! ;D

  • That's F'ing cool

  • @DragonUltraMaster NEVER EVER DO THAT! If you are desperate, use a Sega Genesis model 1 power adapter. The NES adapter will fry your system.

  • Do you know if I can use an NES adaptor to the Famicom? *Normal one*

It says 9 volts and the NES adapter gives 9 volt.. the only diffrentces are the Watts.

    Thanks for answer

  • Are you selling any N64 DD on ebay
