"Brooklyn is an excellent place, out of state of disrepair there is a feeling of repair. Here's an opportunity. What is an oxymoron is "hunger, America." That is unacceptable. We can't continue to feed the globe and starve our own citizens. We don't have enough energy on national level to make sure that all Americans are able to provide for their families. One great president said a chicken in every pot, and car in every drive way. Fast forward now an be equal pretty. We'll put a bike in every driveway, but have to be able to continue to put a chicken in the pot. And we can do that. There is no reason that children should go to bed hungry. Look at the diversity of elected officials here, and think about the diversity of hunger. A growling stomach that's empty does not know ethnicity, gender, place of religious observance. Hungry child that's Jewish, Korean, Caribbean, Chinese, Portuguese is still American, and we have the responsibility to make sure every family in America goes to bed with a full stomach. Let's put that chicken back in the pot."
