Ashwin sir wake up. Toyota expected to sell 12 cars of this model on 2011 but already 80 cars have been booked. And The import duty for the car is 110%. And this car is aimed at people who believe in green revolution more than anyother features (luxury) your talking about. The technlogy of the car and the Superb battery costs more but at the end the car doesnt pollute, sound or even emit.
So my friend: This world needs more people to change the mindset. Quality always comes for a price my dear.

@ashwin6000 for the money you spend for superb you will get mustang GT, the toyota prius is not a costly car it's the indian government which eats 110% of what you pay to get a prius here, as i said below you can get this car for 11lakh indian rupees if you reside in US, much and much better then any car that fall in that range :D

Bro it's not the manufacturer but the government, if they reduce the duty for hybrids which is 110% present you will get a prius in 11 lakhs, so grow up and explore your subject before commenting
